Saw one this past Tuesday on I-495, inner loop before the I-270 spur/split. Pure jaw-dropping insanity. RED with black carbon fiber fins/side blades. I did turn green in complexion I confess.
I'll need a used one in 2020 - not that far away. I'll probably still won't be able to afford one. And, I'll still be driving my '97 A4, oh yeah), but I want a Yellow one or a white one. Oh my, that is one orgasmic automobile...seriously, da truth in engineering.
Ramseller, you've got a sale in 2020 or later, under $$$$$ grand, let me know. ;)

i've seen my fair share as well... rode in an r-tronic and driven a manual... and just recently saw one with the interior out and front trunk trim pieces all out... this car is really a bargain for what you pay for it
seen a black on black with carbon fiber side blades and black painted rims... that was one sweet ride... should be getting a red with carbon fiber side blades here soon.... currently have the #2 R10 in our show room :)

RudeOilPrice - Sorry Dude! I guess some wires must got crossed. I did have the most drop dead gorgeous R8 I've seen to date in our showroom - Daytona gray/ Carbon Fiber side blades, interior trim, & engine trim. Black leather interior with an MSRP of $147,550. We clearly had a tag hanging from the mirror that said "Stocking Stuffer" so I guess your stocking wasn't big enough! :-) Maybe in 2009!Well Merry Christmas & Happy New Year anyway!
When people tell me, "Isn't that kind of expensive?" I send them around the corner to another of our stores (we're in a big complex{43 acres}, all one owner)to see the Bugatti Veyron we have at $1.8 million. Kinda puts things in perspective.

Yo Ramseller, I was really good in the bad year 2008, but I still saw no R8 under my Xmas tree, what happened? .... I can still get a big one (Douglas fir or spruce tree) that will acccommodate the R8 underneath it. Don't worry about doing the cheesey red bow like the lame lexus Christmas commercials - no wrapping paper necessary - just a full tank of gas and a radar-free hwy for starters.
It's 2009 but it's never to late to take a present, what say you? 2009, the year of the Auditruthinengineering!

RudeOilPrice - Wow such hostility (I don't blame you):-( You could always go for the Audi Sports Car Driving Experience at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Ca. $1,895 for 0ne day with the R8; $3,495 for 2 days with the R8. Pricey I know but a whoole lot less than buying one for $170K. I've also seen ads for some outfit that travels around the country and for less than those prices you get to drive several hot exotics including the R8. Just a thought!

Ramseller, and I say again, you are indeed the devil... how can you say that when I'm yet to touch one. May you be blinded by the led lights and may the sound of the engine deafen you. Sacrilegious!!! One must now have such pleasure all to one self never. Till I get to drive one may the EngineeeringTruth spirits send you to a Yugo dealership. Such a bad man.Oh well, one day when my able A4 grows up it it'll be an R8. :)

RudeOilPrice - Sorry, I know it was a tough job but hey somebody had to do it. :-)
Check out this review of the RS4 at http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/audi-rs4/
It is a real hoot, he (Jonny Lieberman)has a way with words that very colorfully describes the experience of driving the RS4 and makes you want to go buy one. I can't afford it soIguess O'm blessed to work where it actually is part of my job.

ramseller, you make me sick, actually I'm mad...and my eyes have turned GREEN... Oh but for a seat and steering wheel feel of an R8..Lord have mercy...one day I'll repent. I don't think I'm coveting that much, am I? OK I'll settle for an RS4, even an S4 will do I'm not greedy or envious.
The R8 is xR8Ted X. :) you heard me say it first.

The dealership I work for has sold 16 of them to date. I finally sold one last month. I had the good fortune to drive "hot laps" at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA in the Audi RS4 (same engine as the R8)as part of my training. While I did not get to drive the R8 I did get in the passenger seat while a professional race car driver took "hot laps" at Infineon. All I can say is WOW! It took 2 weeks to get the smile off my face and it still returns every time I think about it. :-) Just a personal observation - while that vehicle looks awesome no matter what color it is I was surprised to discover a White one with Carbon Fiber side blades is absolutely spectacular. It really shows off the lines of the vehicle and all that beautiful detail just pops out at you!
