Go look at the GasBuddy charts. Gas was high the summer of 2008, the price dipped just in time for Obama to take office, then the prices went back up. Look at the big picture.

All trains are electric. The diesel engine runs a generator.

Hi, you made a great comment on today's news item: "U.S. keeps building new highways while letting old ones crumble...". Thanks for making an intelligent post. Want to become buddies??? Warren :-)

nd73, We can thank Speedway/Marathon for the timing of today's price increase. They control the market too much in Midwest.

Excellent post on the reality of current leadership. Keep up the great messages. By the way, I went to grad school at Northern Michigan. Had many fun and warm visits to Grand Rapids.

AMEN to your post about Al Bore!

there is a different way to look at it - maybe the price a year ago should have been 250% of what it is now, i.e., $6.25/g instead of $4/g. Maybe we were just very lucky last year.

I posted right after your post. I agree with what you said below!

"New prediction: oil price will hit $70 by the 4th quarter of this year.

Stunning news! It's still the 2nd quarter and the price is $69! And skyrocketing!!

All that expected summer travel that isn't really going to happen will deflate these prices suddenly in July or August. Watch and see.

Conserve. Drill the Bakken Shelf. Invest in alternative fuels. This is the answer, not more government intervention. "

We should be drilling more on land as well as off-shore! Open up ANWR, but only a little bit! No need to over do it!
