Iran Announces Plans to Build First Nuclear Submarine

OilPrice.com -- Iran has announced plans to start building its first ever nuclear submarine, a piece of advanced military technology that only the most powerful nations on earth are even able to construct; the interesting bit is that nuclear submarines just happen to run on uranium enriched to such a level that it can also double as the fuel source for a nuclear bomb.

Olli Heinonen, the former UN chief nuclear inspector, said that “such submarines often use HEU (highly enriched uranium),” yet due to the situation regarding Iran’s nuclear program, foreign nations will be reluctant to supply them with the HEU needed. Iran will then be able to “cite the lack of foreign fuel suppliers as further justification for continuing on its uranium enrichment path.”

A Nuclear Submarine? Just like the fighter airplanes, airplane missiles and long range missiles, UAV's and other 'high tech' equipment they have developed but not tested in war! Iran is trying to make the world think they have military equipment that can wipe out anybody they want, whenever they want. It's just more of Iran's smoke and mirrors at work. If the US or Israel wanted, they can put Iran's air force on the ground and their navy at the bottom of the ocean.
Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. Consider using other forms of less expensive transportation to lower your cost.
The price of fuel at the pump is too high!

May not tell everyone how to run their life, but US should watch Iran very closely since they have capability and tend to run "hot".

Counting on nuclear weapon platforms before they have their nuclear industry up and running! Hopefully it never will!

The Iranian government, including the mullahs, are fast falling out of favor with the Iranian people. They, like many politicians, will say just about anything to make it seem like they are succeeding against all odds when they are simply doing what so many "leaders" do - waste their citizens hard won resources for political gain and longevity.

Any government that persecutes its own citizens based upon criteria in the 1953 International Declaration of Human Rights has no place on the planet. Perhaps the entire administration will drown in the sub's first test run.

Let's hope.
